Functions of each group

・Implementation Planning Section

 Conducts operations concerning the planning of demonstration studies for making the fishing industry a growth industry and dissemination of the results.

・First Fishery Group

 Conducts operations concerning development and studies relating to the development and rationalization of utilization of marine resources in distant water fisheries and offshore fisheries.

・Second Fishery Group

 Conducts operations concerning development and studies relating to the commercialization of new fishery production methods in distant water fisheries and offshore fisheries.

・Third Fishery Group

 Conducts operations concerning development and studies relating to systems covering the fishery production to distribution processes.

・Aquaculture Group

 Conducts operations concerning development and studies relating to construction of new aquaculture-related systems.

Role of JAMARC

 Aiming to contribute to the improvement of fishery-related technologies, JAMARC implements demonstration studies, etc. in which actual operations and sales are conducted by chartering private-sector fishing vessels for the development of marine resources and rationalization of their utilization, based on the Basic Policy for the Development of Marine Resources and Rationalization of Their Utilization established by the State.
